TechMart Electronics Company provides a 3-month warranty on all products sold through our website and collection point. This policy explains what is covered, what is excluded, and how to make a claim.

Warranty Period

The warranty period is 3 months (90 calendar days) from the date of purchase for products paid in full, or from the date of collection or delivery for layby purchases.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur under normal use, including:

  • Hardware malfunctions not caused by external damage
  • Screen defects present from manufacturing (dead pixels, display failure)
  • Battery failure (sudden inability to hold any charge, not gradual capacity loss)
  • Charging port or connectivity failures under normal use
  • Speaker, microphone, or camera hardware faults

What Is Not Covered

  • Physical damage from drops, crushing, bending, or impact
  • Liquid damage or exposure to moisture
  • Damage from power surges or use of non-approved chargers
  • Normal wear and tear: gradual battery capacity reduction, minor surface scratches, fading
  • Software issues: operating system bugs, app crashes, malware, or user-installed software problems
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repair or modification
  • Damage caused by use outside the product's intended purpose
  • Accessories (cases, cables, earphones) unless sold separately with their own warranty
  • Theft, loss, or damage occurring after the product leaves our possession

Pre-Owned Product Warranty

Pre-owned and refurbished products carry the same 3-month warranty. However:

  • Cosmetic conditions described in the original product listing are accepted at purchase and are not grounds for a warranty claim.
  • Battery health at the time of purchase is stated in the listing. Natural degradation from that stated level is normal wear.
  • Any hardware defect not present or disclosed at the time of purchase is covered.

How to Make a Claim

  2. Provide your order number or proof of purchase.
  3. Describe the fault clearly and include photographs or video.
  4. We will acknowledge your claim within 1 business day and provide a full assessment within 2 business days.
  5. If the claim is approved, we will advise on the remedy: repair, replacement, or refund.

Remedies

When a valid warranty claim is approved, TechMart will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the product at no cost to you, or
  • Replace the product with an identical or equivalent product, or
  • Issue a full refund of the purchase price.

The choice of remedy is at the discretion of TechMart. Where a replacement is provided, the replacement product carries the remainder of the original warranty period, not a new 3-month period.

Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty is void if:

  • The product has been opened, repaired, or modified by anyone other than TechMart or an authorised service provider.
  • The product serial number or warranty seal has been removed, altered, or made illegible.
  • The damage is the result of misuse, neglect, or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
  • A valid proof of purchase cannot be provided.

Turnaround Time

Warranty repairs are typically completed within 5 to 10 business days, depending on the nature of the fault and parts availability. If a repair will take longer than 10 business days, we will notify you and offer an alternative remedy where possible.
